Climate change is on the radar. Since David Attenborough’s climate change documentary, I have been more conscious as to how to reduce my carbon footprint. This rise in climate change activism means consumers are less likely to support companies which do not operate in a sustainable way.

I am very conscious about understanding climate change. Reading articles about the impact of technology on climate change is hugely interesting to me. Unfortunately, I came across a study which stresses the environmental impact of Bitcoin which I thought it best to share.
Most businesses will hold data in a data centre. In our Beyond the Cloud Research 2018 we found that 74.7% of respondents hosted cloud services in the UK. We expect our data will be stored in an modern data centre. However, there have been reports that operators are not taking disaster recovery precautions to protect their sites from extreme weather events.
