Serviceteam IT Security News

Time has finally come for us to throw open the doors and welcome you all to Liverpool for CyberUK 2017.

CyberUK 2017 will be testament to what has been a real step change in UK cyber resilience. The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) was officially opened by Her Majesty The Queen on February 14th and CyberUK, our flagship event, gives us the chance to work ever closer with partners across government, industry, academia and critical national infrastructure.

We are grateful for the support of our sponsors, exhibitors and all our industry partners in delivering this event. We are hugely encouraged by this demonstration of industry’s collective recognition of the technology and cyber security leaders and professional communities.

The event itself is split into two with CyberUK Strategy, the primary conference for briefing 800+ cyber security and IA leaders from across government, CNI, industry and academia, taking place tomorrow. We will then move into CyberUK in Practice on Wednesday which over the course of two days will bring together professional communities for streams, networking, spotlight talks and audience engagement. A full overview of the entire event can be found on the dedicated CyberUK pages.

In terms of statistics we are expecting to welcome more than 2,500 delegates over the next three days with more than 100 speakers and 35 hours of stream sessions ensuring quality content for those attending. On top of all that, 25 Spotlight stage lightning talks, 12 workshops, one cyber den and 100 exhibitors make CyberUK 2017 an unmissable event.

I’d also encourage you all to look out for blogs written by Ciaran Martin, CEO of the NCSC, who will look ahead to CyberUK and its importance to the NCSC and the cyber security industry as a whole. There is also plenty of CyberUK blogs and content to make your way through before joining us in Liverpool from the team here at NCSC. And don’t forget you can interact with us throughout the week by tweeting @NCSC and @CyberUKevents!

So as I finish writing this blog and look forward to tonight’s networking dinner, I look forward to seeing as many of you as I can at ACC Liverpool this week for what will be the government’s biggest and most influential IA and cyber security event to date.
