Serviceteam IT Security News

Our CyberUK in Practice conference in Liverpool saw those public sector organisations who took part in the Secure by Default Partnership Programme for 2016 present their case studies. They covered their experience of deploying modern authentication using Windows 10 in their organisations. We’re currently putting the finishing touches to these and we will be publishing them soon.

I’m really pleased to be able to announce that because of how well received the programme was this past year, we’re running it again this year.

We’re again looking for proactive and enthusiastic public sector organisations to adopt some new technologies, and then tell us (and the rest of the public sector) how it went. In return, we provide funding, technical expertise, support and guidance on a range of topics to help ensure its success.

Last year, we focussed on a number of Microsoft Windows 10 technologies. This year, we’re not limiting participants to a specific brand, instead we’re looking at the broader problem of reducing reliance on passwords.  We’re inviting participants to come up with some novel ways to remove or replace passwords with more usable but equally (or more) secure alternatives.

For further details on the programme, and information on how to apply, see the Secure by Default Partnership Programme pages. We look forward to receiving an application from you!
